First off, welcome to August! Not sure how we got here so quick, but I'm all about putting these hot temps behind us in....um....two to three months (lol). This humidity has been no joke.
All month long we are celebrating the ladies (more on specifically why coming out this Wednesday)....we'll be doing all-female albums for the month during our weekly Album Dives starting with this OG...

On the heels of her fantastic shows this past weekend at Pacific Electric (new, very cool venue in LA), the co-founder of Sonic Youth, the legend herself - Kim Gordon - put out her third solo studio album earlier this year called PLAY ME.
"I’m just not so interested in ‘conventional music'...I mean, other people do that quite well, but it doesn’t really interest me. I don’t find it compelling. And I do really see myself as a visual artist who makes music, so I think I have a different attitude to other musicians.”
